Nigeria Needs Prayer – Bishop Afowowe
Rev. (Engr.) Ola Afowowe, the Bishop, Gospel Baptist Church (Nigeria and Overseas), has stressed the need for Nigerians to embark on continuous prayers for the country.
The clergy, who is also the General Secretary of the Mission in Nigeria and Overseas, made this remark in his sermon at the just concluded Annual 2018 Adult Harvest and Bazaar Thanksgiving Service of the United African Methodist Evangelical Church at No 3, Akinsola Lane, Abule Ijesha, Yaba, Lagos.
In his address to the congregation, the distinguished Matrons, Patrons of the Church and other eminent personalities, he reminded them of God’s love, passion and faithfulness to all,especially to the Israelites.
Bishop Afowowe reiterated the need for all to profoundly appreciate God in its totality for His inestimable goodness, mercy, protection, abundance, provisions of their needs at all times.
He also urged them to be thankful to God for His unshaken and firm Harvest of their proceeds. He implored Nigerians to always appreciate God for his deeds.
He further impelled Nigerians to pray to God to ‘heal their land’ from the present financial, spiritual, other social and insecurity nationally and globally.
Highlights of the events, included Bazaar Sales and Thanksgiving by respective Church societies and other distinguished guests invited from both sectors of the economy, along with other religious dignitaries and leaders.
Other eminent guests were the Baba Ijo, Lt. Gen. Oladipo Diya (rtd), the Mama Ijo, Elder Chief Mrs. Mabel Kehinde Komolafe, the Otun Baba Ijo, Elder Chief Folorunso Oladepo, as well as the Chairperson of the 2018 Harvest Thanksgiving Service Planning Committee and Evangelist Mrs. Fadekemi Diya.
