Catholic Charismatic Priest and Spiritual Director, Holy Ghost Adoration Ministries, Uke, Anambra State, Rev. Fr. Emmanuel Chibuzor Obimma a.k.a Ebube Muonso, yesterday came hard on some Igbo leaders who seem to have jettisoned the collective interests of the Igbo race for their selfish reasons.

Fr. Obimma, speaking at the Weekly Vigil of the Ministry at Uke, Idemili North Local Government Area declared his support for the activities of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB and its leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Fr. Obimma popularly known as ‘Ebube muonso’ while speaking on the topic “Night of Divine Justice and Power” expressed pleasure over the release of Nnamdi Kanu from Prison.

He said that what happened to Kanu can be likened to a situation where the shepherd will be struck and the sheep scatters but in this case, he said that even the Federal Government cannot dismiss IPOB with the wave of the hand because of their growing membership and consistent agitation over the marginalization of Ndigbo.

Ebube Muonso berated some Igbo leaders and some governors of the South East who never spoke out against the continued incarceration of Kanu but are now extending invitations to the same man to visit them now that he is out of prison. He described an average Igbo man as selfish but noted that such selfish character, cannot lead the Igbo anywhere, urging the people to shun such vice and embrace love for one another and assisting others to achieve success.

He said Biafra will be very difficult to achieve because of the activities of saboteurs and lack of brotherly love among the Igbo. He urged the IPOB leadership to make sure that miscreants hiding on the platform are purged out of the system and also warned security agents to desist from arresting or killing IPOB members whenever they engage in non violent activities.

The cleric disclosed that several people warned him not to talk about Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB when he was in detention while some also cajoled him to be mindful of the fact that it was a Federal Government issue which even some bishops wouldn’t want to talk about but he vehemently refused such counsel because he was convinced that Kanu did not commit any treasonable offence.

The catholic priest also raised alarm about the activities of the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC) which he said; has been distributing darkness and estimated bills while the citizens are crying. He mentioned communities like Obosi and Ugwuagba in Anambra State that have been in total darkness since they protested crazy estimated bills running from N17,000 and above for residential apartments in a month. “It is time for the people to rise up against this evil. Go and tell the Ogidi Network Manager to repent. This message is coming from the oracle of divine grace; they should know that God’s anger is coming if they fail to repent.

The conspiracy of silence among our people is becoming too much. Fr. Ebube Muonso can afford to provide his own light if the public power source fails, but what of the poor masses who cannot feed their families? “he queried.
