biafra anniversary-IPOB

The Yar’Adua Foundation has organised a conference on the 50 years anniversary of the declaration of the defunct Republic of Biafra.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, May 25 at the Yar’Adua Centre, Abuja. The theme is ‘Memory and Nation Building – Biafra: 50 Years After’.

Nigeria’s Acting President Yemi Osinbajo, former president Olusegun Obasanjo, and seven other leaders are to speak at the one-day conference.

“The 50th anniversary of the declaration of the Republic of Biafra in 1967, offers an opportunity for sober reflection on a number of issues including lessons learned that may be useful in dealing with contemporary challenges confronting Nigeria,” the foundation said in a statement.

Speakers at the event include a former Permanent Secretary Information, Education & Industry, Alhaji Ahmed Joda, President General Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief John Nnia Nwodo, and Professor John Stremlau of the University of Witwatersrand.

A Cultural Night would feature performance poetry and a screening of Afia Attack – the untold “survival stories of women during the civil war.

Benjamin Ayibatonlayefa is only a child that can put into his mouth everything he picks on the ground. Ask your parents to tell you why your people and the Biafrans came together and again as an educated one, please, how did nigeria got south south from her Atlas? The world at large has no south south. But most argued to be referred to as poorest areas, so, is Bayalsa the poorest, wat can u say nah?

    May 23, 2017 at 1:36 pm

They are just trying to divert attention and give it another meaning. Why not discuss Buhari APC govt result/scorecard for 2years? I can now see that this Biafra matter is really disturbing and giving all of them sleepless nights and their BP is so high, if not how come a country and their leaders like Obasanjo who says Biafra is dead and buried after over 50 years is still talking about Biafra, something is happening somewhere, it means the message is getting across to the audience even when they act or show ignorance of the massive global March by Biafrans for Biafra restoration, Nnamdi Kanu, IPoB and other groups and individual working so hard for their nation Biafra, I salute u all, you guys have really done greatly well, they world know better and heats you now, Biafrans loud and clear

God have been punishing ur tribe with Boko Haram & poverty everywhere in northern side, go check ur self first before u looking for who to enslave…..because ur cursed tribe already enslaved themselves by begging on the street of every state in Nigeria. That Is why Emir of Kano says u people are still living in 13th century lifestyle.
