BREAKING: IPOB Wins Again As Court Orders Immediate Release Of Bright Chimezie, Awards N5m Damages Against DSS

A Federal High Court sitting in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state presided over by Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu has reportedly delivered judgement on the application filed by Barr. Ifeanyi Ejiofor against the Department of State Services (DSS) bothering on the violation of the fundamental rights of Bright Chimezie, a principal officer of the Indigenous People of Biafra.

The court after listening to the extensive argument of the Plaintiff’s counsel, ordered that Chimezie who has been in detention since October 4, 2016 be immediately released.

The Judge also awarded N5million Naira damages against the DSS for illegal arrest and unwarranted incarceration of the IPOB officer.
