We Don’t Have Problem With Uwazuruike But Nnamdi Kanu The Mad Boy – Arewa Youths Leader, Shettima
Leader of a coalition of Arewa youth groups that gave Igbo in the North October 1 deadline to vacate the region, Yerima Shettima has described the IPOB Leader, Nnamdi Kanu as a mad boy who knew nothing about the struggle.
Yerima in an interview with the Sun Newspaper stated that the only problem they have is IPOB and not MASSOB.
He Further spoke more on his relationship with MASSOB Leader, Ralf Uwazuruike..
In His Word: “MASSOB does not have a good relationship with the boy because the boy has completely run out of control. For the past five years now I have been attending Ojukwu Memorial Lectures under the leadership of MASSOB.
“They invite me and Major Al-Mustapha and co. Even this year, I am likely going to be there. We go there to make speeches. It’s an open day for us just like we mark June 12, Sardauna Memorial Lectures and other memorable occasions. We go to the event under the leadership of MASSOB’s Ralph Uwazurike who happens to be my very good senior brother and good friend.
“In fact we share a lot of things in confidence. We talk. Even when we talk about Nigeria and he has a different view about Nigeria I try as much as I can to persuade him against what he sees as injustice.
“He would tell me the only reason MASSOB was established is because they have been marginalized and Nigeria does not want us. I will tell him supposing we have a system in place that will look at the issue of injustice that you perceive to be against you in form of marginalization, we can equally have a system in place where we can build a country of our own where everybody will be considered as a first class citizen; nobody will be considered as a second class citizen and everything will be good for you.
“Supposing we have such a thing in motion what will you do? He would say well the only reason why we are doing what we are doing is because we have been marginalized. Nigeria does not want us.
“I will say God willing our generation will come to that and we will address the issue until this mad boy came; this small man in struggle because I have never known him in struggle.” Shettima concluded.

If you don’t have problems with the Ijaws in Bayelsa, Rivers or Delta identifying with their brothers in Ondo, why do you feel so pained when Igbo’s in Anambra, Imo, Abia, Ebonyi and Enugu try to identify with their Igbo brothers in Rivers and Delta states?
Buhari and APC is no longer the problem, the problem is now Nnamdi Kanu……
Nigerians in Bakkassi are dying in their numbers and nobody is shouting on the government to protect them, not even their brothers in the Niger delta….. In fact Yakubu Gowon was in Bayelsa to commission what is known today as ” Ijaw Academy”…… A stadium and major road in Port Harcourt was named after him.
I will not be surprised if a town or major road is named after Obasanjo in Cross River state.
From far away Sokoto, the caliphate Is laying claim to Ilorin town and everybody is silent. Even when the almighty OPC wanted to fight to reclaim their land, their own Obasanjo proscribed the organization under the orders of the owners of Nigeria.
The hypocrisy of Nigerians is legendary and that is why we ended up with a Buhari as president…
The reason I don’t bother about the people who insult Nnamdi Kanu is because they are either those who supported and voted a Buhari as President and those who capitalized on his agitation to speak when they had no platform.
Take it or you leave it, Nnamdi Kanu has given voice to the voiceless. At least a Jerry Gana can now look at the Arewa and tell them that should Nigeria break, the middle belt will not go with Nigeria.
The call for restructuring and implementation of the confab report ( which was thrown in the archive ) has dominated the political space just to quench the Nnamdi Kanu phenomenon.
