An IPOB delegation from Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) recently paid a courtesy visit to Biafran leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu at his residence in Isiama Afaraukwu Ibeku in Umuahia, the capital of Abia state.

The delegation which comprises students of the institution under the banner ‘IPOB FUTO FAMILY’ traveled from Imo state to pay homage to Kanu.

In a statement sent to ORIENTAL TIMES by the group’s secretary general, Umunnakwe Chukwubuikem, the students expressed their joy and fulfillment for being hosted by Kanu himself.

“We had the chance to meet our Leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu in person. We met our leader who happily welcomed us.

“He expressed his happiness on sighting gallant students of FUTO with our Owerri zonal coordinator, Mazi Abraham Chukwumankpam and Mazi Prestige the co-coordinator of IPOB Ezoibodo,” part of the statement said.

Mazi Chima Nwoke Mba, the FUTO IPOB co-coordinator bluntly explained how FUTO students were slowly responding to the call to join the struggle in FUTO majorly due to the poor information that they have about the Biafra Restoration Program.

According to the statement, Kanu expressed his unhappiness on the poor turn out of Biafrans in FUTO.

He encouraged the delegation not to be docile but to be radically spreading the gospel in all corners of the institution.

He also mandated them to take IPOB to all media in FUTO defending IPOB and Biafra in every way it is attacked.

Responding, the group’s coordinator thanked Kanu for his warm welcome and his advice, promising him that the group will spread the gospel of Biafra across FUTO and its environs.
