Why North Is Afraid Of Restructuring – Katsina Governor Masari Reveals

Katsina State Governor, Aminu Masari

The governor of Katsina state, Aminu Bello Masari, has given reasons Northern leaders are afraid of restructuring.

According to the governor, over-dependence on what is coming from the centre is the source of fear of the region over the agitation of restructuring.

Masari spoke yesterday while launching the production of PVC Pipes by AMPRI GLOBAL Limited.

According to him, “This over dependence on allocation from the centre must stop if we are to progress. We have the population, we have both human and material resources; but we must have the political will to do the right thing.

Masari identified the promotion of medium and small scale businesses as the only way out.

He said medium and small scale businesses will provide revenue for both the state and local governments and generate employment for the youth to boost their economic status.
