Arewa Youths Vow To Shut Down Govt Activities If Nnamdi Kanu Is Not Rearrested NOW
A northern youth group, the Arewa Youth Assembly, AYA, on Wednesday staged a peaceful protest in Abuja following the expiration of the 10-day ultimatum it gave the federal government to re-arrest the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.
The group had earlier warned that it would shut down government activities if Nnamdi Kanu is not re-arrested.
On Wednesday, Mohammed Salihu, its spokesman, reiterated the group’s threat to shut down government activities in Abuja if the acting president fails to act as it had demanded.
“I will be very brief. We organised this peaceful protest as a warning and reminder to federal government to arrest Nnamdi Kanu now.
“The Arewa Youth Assembly will not make a U-turn on its decisions. We intend to carry out our proposed plans and nothing can stop us.
“We will mobilize thousands of youth to shut down government activities in Abuja after our congress meeting next week Saturday,” he said.
A team of police officers monitored the group’s procession from a distance before the group dispersed shortly before noon.

Where the elders in the society have failed in their responsibilities to guide their young ones aright, teach them good moral values, live by example and invest their time and money for their upbringing, you shouldn’t be surprised how see their youths reasoning with their stomachs. Be a good instruments to be used by their Lords to achieve their goals
This exactly the case of this Northern youths. When their Lords sending their children to the best Western education schools in the world they canned their servants and their children to the education that see themselves as servants and destined to obey and serve their Lords and be contented with their servants position for life.
Is the right of the Eastern youths to demand for the divorce of married that doesn’t pay them. No need of forcing them to live together by shedding blood. This is social contract which should be respected by all key players.
