Only A Foolish Igbo Will Contest 2019 Presidential Elections – Sen Chukwuka
Senator Chukwuka Utazi, representing Enugu North, has warned South Eastern politicians from contesting in the 2019 presidential elections.
Speaking in Abuja, the lawmaker observed that the current political arrangement of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, is not in support of the South East producing the next President of Nigeria in 2019.
“I am not expecting any Igbo person to contest for president under on the PDP platform in 2019.
“Based on truth and fact on ground, the political configuration of the party will not allow for an Igbo presidency in 2019.
“There is an existing zoning arrangement between the north and the south. It will be foolhardy for the Igbo to contest in the 2019 presidential election.
“I know that the Igbo have bright chances if the north complete their terms.”

He should be telling Igbos to forget about becoming president of Nigeria not just in 2019. All the parties zoning system will automatically change when it is time for Igbos or they will end the party and start a new one so that the zoning will start afresh from the North. Look at the PDP for example, it was Obasanjo/Atiku for 8 years, then Yar’adua/Jonathan for 2 years. Jonathan/Sambo for 6 years and then the North demanded power back by all means, eventually, they got it through APC and it’s now Buhari/Osibanjo. Then we were told that PDP was in crisis, now they have returned and their zoning will start from the North again. APC will continue with Buhari as candidate at least for another 6 years. If you calculate from 1999 to 2023, by then we would have had more North/West candidates than the rest of the country not minding the long military era of complete Northern dominance. You can understand why the Yorubas always insult us here online for demanding for Biafra because they also benefit from the Nigeria current system. The North and West see relinquishing power to the South East as a treasonable felony as the East is a conquered territory. They will remain as such or be forced to. That’s the situation of Nigeria, is either we demand for our freedom or remain slaves forever.
