Fani-Kayode Condemns Army’s Raid On Nnamdi Kanu’s Home
Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has condemned the raid on Nnamdi Kanu’s home by the officers of the Nigerian Army on Sunday.
Fani-Kayode called for restraint and an end to the “unprecedented violence”.
He tweeted: “I condemn the raid on Nnamdi Kanu’s home by the army. I call for restraint and I deplore the unprecedented violence that is being employed.
“3 people have been killed by the military and 20 wounded in their raid on Nnamdi Kanu’s home. This is wicked, barbaric and unacceptable. STOP!”
The Army allegedly invaded the home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), barely 24 hours after it announced the start of its second phase of Operation Python Dance II in the South-Eastern states.

NIGERIAN ARMY DID NOT ATTACK LEADER OF IPOB NNAMDI KANU’S HOME NOR KILL ANYONE The attention of 14 Brigade Nigerian Army, has been drawn to fictitious news going round especially on the social media that troops have invaded the home of Nnamdi Kanu and killed 3 persons. This is far from the truth. Rather, it was a group of suspected IPOB militants that blocked the road against troops of 145 Battalion while on show of force along FMC- Word Bank Road in Umuahia town, Abia State at about 6.00-6.30pm, today. They insisted that the military vehicles would not pass and started pelting the soldiers with stones and broken bottles to the point of injuring an innocent female passerby and a soldier, Corporal Kolawole Mathew. The troops fired warning shots in the air and the hoodlooms dispersed. No life was lost. Therefore the public are kindly enjoined to disregard the rumours going round and the fictitious photographs of purported victims of attack. Both the soldier and the innocent female passerby have been evacuated to the unit’s Medical Inspection Room and are receiving treatment. We would like to use this opportunity to warn mischief makers threatening the peace and security of the country through falsehood such as above. Members of the public are please requested to go about their lawful business and report any suspicious activity to the nearest police station or security outfit. Nigeria has never fought any of its four neighbours, be it Benin Republic, Niger Republic, Chad or Cameroon. But presently, the Hausa/Fulani’s military men are killing the Igbo people in their own fatherland.

I want to advice NNAMDI Kanu this morning. You should continue with the agitation for self determination with more decorum. And must from now on be more circumspect. You should totally stop any insults either collectively or personally on the people of the whole Southern, Nigeria, and induct your members to follow suit.. And please never act dumb into being pressurized by the aggression of the Buhari hating government towards IPOB, or the killing of innocent Igbo youths who are agitating peacefully for self determination in going militant or underground. Please do not carry arms, don’t throw stones, don’t use sticks, just use your mouth. There is power in the tongue. It is more potent and allowed. That is a right for free speech Any body accusing you of felony should go to court. It is only a court of the land that have the right to judge. You have the right to agitate for the rights of your people. This evil regime of Buhari want to pressurize you and your non violent members to become violent so that they can show their venom on Igbos the way they did to the Niger Delta and the North East of Nigeria. You should continue to be steadfast, strong and resolute either out of prison or inside prison on this agitation. You will finally, at the end, win this agitation for self determination for the people of Ndigbo.
