No Hiding Place For IPOB Members In Anambra – Obiano
Governor of Anambra State, Willie Obiano, has said there would be no hiding place for members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) in the state.
Obiano said this in a statement by his Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Tony Nnacheta, on Sunday.
The Governor stated that his government totally aligns with decision of the South-East Governors Forum, to proscribe the group.
”Sequel to the decision of the South East Governors forum which met on the 15th of September , 2017, at Enugu, where amongst other decisions, was the proscription of the activities of Indigenous People of Biafra, the Government of Anambra State wishes to state as follows: Government aligns itself with the clarion call from the South East Governors advising all persons with grievances and anxiety to transmit their position through prescribed channels of elected representatives to the forum.
“Government is also firmly in support of the restructuring agenda as announced by the Governors Forum and encourages Ndi Anambra to articulate their thoughts to follow through on this issue.
“The safety of Ndi Anambra and all residents in Anambra, the security of their lives, properties and environment are cardinal priorities of the Willie Obiano Administration which has ensured that everyone goes about freely within our environment without let or hinderance,” the statement read in part.

There is nothing unjust tyrants fear as much as the truth. Much more than guns and bullets, the truth riles and strikes tyrants in their softest spots.
Buhari came to power on lies. He has sustained his government on lies.
Before our eyes, a former opposition party that came to power promising to restructure, unify and right all the wrongs in the polity has unleashed the most blatant bigotry, hate, marginalisation, double standards, apartheid level discrimination, ethnic divisions and human rights violations in our democratic history.
IPOB has pounded away at this lies, evils and the fakeness of Nigeria everyday.
In remarkably well organised and peaceful rallies, Kanu has spoken truth to power. Denounced the evil, unjust, colonial system and made promises of a better tomorrow under a new republic and new system.
His organisation frightened them. His mass followership frightened them. His messianic status and incorruptibility frightened them.
He shattered long held myths. All of a sudden the republican Igbos who were known not to have or follow kings had a righteous King that was reverred like no other in the land.
A veritable man of the people. The masses followed him. The masses listened to him. The masses obeyed him. Unlike the looters taking refuge behind an avalanche of gun totting security men, he had no security. His security and refuge was the masses of the people themselves.
They followed him, they guided him, they adored him, they protected him, they stood in the rain or sun for him, they died for him.
In him the masses had found a true leader.
But for Buhari and his terrorist army, he was nothing other than a human bomb. So out of trepidation and fear they came for an unarmed man and group with guns, tanks and helicopter gunships. They shot and killed civilians, subjected young men to the most barbaric and despicable torture ever before seen. And to cap it they ridiculously declared the same victims of their terror; an unarmed and non violent IPOB a terrorist organisation while mass killing fulani terrorists were being protected by the same government.
The world choked at such inhumane barbarities and such hypocrisy. But It came as no surprise. The antecedents of Buhari and his ragtag government are well known. It has only been again vindicated before a global audience.
But in all these Buhari and his cowardly army forgot one thing; you can’t ban an ideology or decree a struggle for self determination/ freedom from injustice and oppresion out of existence, for many more will swell their ranks and even take its place insofar as the underlying drivers and injustices remain.

Freedom is worth dying for, it’s better one die fighting for what he or she believes in rather than die for nothing. Biafra is in our blood, it’s our right and it can not be taking our from us no matter how hard you try, Freedom fighter of yesterday secured the freedom you enjoy today, if not, you and I would have been born into slavery today. Some call Biafra struggle a foolish cause but no fight for freedom is not worth it.
We South East and south of Nigeria will never get better than it’s today. They put us behind, deprived us our right, kill us even in our own back yard, Everybody have to wake up, don’t be intimidated, we will not give up no matter how the government frustrate our struggle for freedom. We most continue and never give up on Biafra. Don’t be discouraged my fellow Biafrans. Biafra is our last hope, their is no hope for us in Nigeria, South East and South South Federal roads are the worst will find any where in Nigeria, No development plans.
Nothing at all is work in our land. The Government has made us to believe that suffering is a normal thing in life. The government closed all Sea port in South East and South South, centered everything in Lagos, yet you did not create a means of transportation of the goods when they arrive Lagos, No rail way, no Roads for transportation. My people let us not pretend that everything is well while it is not, we have to wake up and speak.
Condition of our region will never get better than it is now. We have to come out united with one voice, I refuse that we will be subjected to such maltreat of man inhumanity to man. We are not slaves and can not be treated as one, we refuse to be treated as second class citizen in Nigeria.
For me, I am not participating in any election in Nigeria, The people we elect to lead and speak for our interest now work against us and support that the military kill us in our land. What do I stand to gain in electing another politician who will go after his personal interest instead of the people that elected them. You have to know that the power belong to the people not the elected, they most hear our voice and obey it. We most stand up to the politicians and say to them, Enough is Enough.
Non of us the present generation knew how our people were killed and massacred all over Nigeria before Gen Ojukwu declared Biafra but now we can see it ourselves, it is unjustifiable that military fully armed will be sent to kill innocent civilians that has no cutlass not to talk of guns. Army is a trained machinery for war not to quench an ordinary agitation for self determination which is the right of the people.
Let the blood of the dead Biafrans be upon anybody who will go and stand at the electoral poll to vote for another leader to lead us astray and allow the people to be killed in cold blood. The blood of the wasted Soul is weeping. Just imagine that any of the dead people happen to be a member of your family, Every life matters no matter what the situation might be.
Don’t be against Biafra struggle if you don’t know about Biafra, ask questions and you will be more enlightened to understand better.

Granted, I’m positively sure that at least one person in the state will vote and vote for the person we don’t like. And when that happens, the candidate thus has the majority vote and therefore wins the election. Our goal should be to vote out that person we don’t want.
