Garba Shehu: ‘IPOB Is A Terrorist Organization, Fulani Herdsmen Are Just A Criminal Gang’
Senior Special Assistant to President Buhari on Media and Publicity, Garba Shehu, was a guest on Channels TV this morning where he spoke on the recent proscription of IPOB.
According to the presidential spokesperson, IPOB is an organization that has no regard for the constitution.
Reacting to questions on why the Fulani herdsmen have not been tagged a terrorist organization despite the fact that they have killed hundreds of people and destroyed properties in some parts of the country, Garba replied thus;
“This is because there is a difference between a criminal gang and terrorist activities. Yes the Fulani herdsmen are a criminal gang and are being dealt with in accordance to the laws of the country but IPOB like Boko Haram has a territory they have carved onto themselves as a sovereign state and have shown willingness to invade neighboring states. They have raised concerns in neighboring Kogi, Benue and also indicated interest in taking over Bayelsa and Rivers That is exactly what Boko Haram has done with the Flags and taxation systems This certainly are not acceptable to the laws of the country” he said
Garba said information reached the government that IPOB members had already started printing passports as well as their own currency which is against the laws of the country.

I stopped commenting on social media since I red that up 75 million Nigerians are illiterate. Its means nobody understands law and how government operates. According to the rule of law guiding our country, no law forbids freedom of speech and pressure group, the law did not say that one should not express his feelings and die in silence. there is freedom of aggitation for referendum. In addition, the IPOB members hanging their flag up and down is not an act of terrorism rather it a part of anouncing there proposal. Saying that the BIAFRANS are killing people, destroying properties is a very big lie and shall contenue to be lie. Even if the IPOB are seen with arms, the law did not say they should be killed rather any act of terrorism should be treated first by the juge before the court of law before total condemnation.

Let me tell you what happened. You can go to the bank with it…
The five governors met with Nnamdi Kanu, asked him what his issues with Nigeria were.
He told them “We want a referendum”.
They offered him money.
He refused.
They asked him if he will slow down at least for them to be reelected.
He refused. He stated clearly “there must be a referendum.”
The five governors stood in front of the press and promised to take his complaints to the presidency.
They met with the presidency.
They told Buhari “Mr. President, this guy cannot be bought. He wants Biafra by all means”.
Buhari asked them. “What can we do”?
They said. “We will give you Nnamdi Kanu, will you give us second tenure and allow us to loot?”
Buhari said “Deal”
They then devised a plan. In their plan, the army will come to Abia (and other eastern states) claiming they are going for Operation Python Dance 2.
Ikpeazu will then tell Kanu to relax that nothing is happening. He is covered. After Kanu has relaxed, then the army will attack.
This plan almost worked the first time. The plan also involved stationing the military all over South East to contain the Backlash after the assassination. However, something happened. The military men did not expect the boys at the compound not to run when they arrived. They were surprised at the suicidal nature of the boys ready to die to protect Kanu. So they retreated.
Ikpeazu again must act to make Kanu more relaxed so the army can then mount the second and last Maximum attack.
That was why Ikpeazu made the announcement about the Army withdrawing on Friday. That announcement was to induce Kanu to relax, sleep in his house and feel like he has been victorious. This will enable them attack, kill him and withdraw on Friday.
That attempt also failed. So Army was not happy and made an announcement on Friday indicating they will no longer withdraw.
They called the five governors and told them “You guys are not keeping to your side of the bargain”.
Now, they entered into their meeting and fabricated their last plan. “Let us proscribe IPOB, so Kanu will be shot at sight anywhere he is seen”.
My advice to Ndi Igbo. … Kick these 5 governors out by all means.
