Biafra: Nnamdi Kanu Is Mad, Inconsequential – Rochas Okorocha
Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has spoken again on the agitation for Biafra by Igbo youths.
Okorocha said it was unfortunate that the youths of the region allowed themselves to be used by Nnamdi Kanu, whom he described as a ‘mad man’.
“This is a young man seeking relevance as a means of livelihood and to tell you how daft some people can be, any madman can just rise one day and lead a senseless agitation and he’d get followers.
“Even the way IPOB was handled by the government wasn’t right. I kept telling the government that this young man, Nnamdi Kanu, is inconsequential in the matter – treat him like who he really is.
“But now he’d been given some national attention branding the whole Igbo as IPOB members and it’s the reason for the quit notice some gave our people in the North. The matter is laughable. You cannot imagine me, Rochas being asked by IPOB that let’s go to war and I follow.
“That’s the greatest insult to people of the east. Even if you come today and start a church you name ‘Kill Every Human Being Church’, some people will still join you. There are always people for everything you do. I would have handled it differently.”
On the 2019 election and President Buhari’ rumoured ambition, Okorocha disclosed that he would support the president if he declared ambition to re-contest.
“I have so many windows open in 2019 as I wait for Mr. President to make his declaration, I want to be politically relevant and I have made the decision never to watch my country sink”, Okorocha told Sun.
“If President Buhari declares to run for the office again in 2019, I will support him, because the man has a character to develop Nigeria. He has a thick skin that we need.
“We have a faulty foundation and I see President Buhari as that man who can build the foundation that we need. But I don’t see him as someone who will build this nation with a fantastic finishing with nice furniture.
“He’s just going to build a solid foundation upon which success and prosperity for the land shall be accomplished. And that’s where people like me would come in.”

Mike Ozekhome Reveals What Complicated Nnamdi Kanu’s Case A Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Mike Ozekhome, has said the invasion of the home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu complicated the legal case against him. This comes hours after the IPOB leader was absent in court to answer to accusations of engaging in activities that posed threat to Nigeria’s sovereignty which were slammed against him by the federal government. Speaking on the matter when heappeared on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Ozekhome said the government should have waited for th result of the legal actions taken against the IPOB leader and not resort to invading his residence by the military. He said: “Now assuming that Nnamdi Kanu has breached every single material particular of those bails, what is the answer? The answer is again through the judicial process. “The Federal Government has already done the right thing through its lawyers that filed a motion before the same judge, Justice Binta Nyako, to say ‘my lord, Nnamdi Kanu has breached these bail conditions. The Federal Government should have waited for that legal process to accomplish rather than invade the home through the military.”Following Kanu’s alleged disappearance, Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe, who volunteered as surety for the IPOB leader when he was granted bail, approached the court requesting to be discharged from the suretyship, bond and recognisance of his bail.On Senator Abaribe’s application, Ozekhome said: “That is where section 171 of he administration of the Criminal Justice Act comes into play. The section says a surety cango back to court and apply and say ‘hello sir, discharge me from my suretyship obligation, I can no longer see the person that I stood surety for because that person, after the invasion of his home, I’ve not seen him. Abaribe in law will be entitled to ask the court for such prayers.” The question then comes; can you tell Senator Abaribe to produce a person that he cannot lay hands on? God forbid, let us assume Nnamdi Kanu was kidnapped and he’s in kidnappers’ den, can you call Abaribe and say ‘you must produce Nnamdi Kanu, even though we are aware that he’s in the kidnappers’ den?” he wondered. Ozekhome added. “We saw that the period of invasion was the last time Nigerians saw Nnamdi Kanu in his house. That’s what you call the ‘doctrine of the last scene’. So going by the doctrine of last seen, and the doctrine of ‘res ipsa loquitur’, it means that the last time Nigerians saw Nnamdi Kanu was when he was in his home in Umuahia and the military invaded that home and he has not been seen since then,”

When Nnamdi Kanu started his sanitisation programme to unite Biafrans from different ethnicity, his greatest challenge was the question of sincerity and if he can be trusted, if he can’t betray us in the middle of the struggle, if he won’t abandon the struggle like Uwazurike.

At some point his promises weren’t enough, Nnamdi Kanu, swore to commit suicide in public any day he is perceived to have compromised. Nnamdi Kanu ask IPOB to kill his own family should he abandoned the struggle, Nnamdi Kanu swore to give up everything that matters to him for the cause of Biafra.
Nnamdi Kanu was talked down, humiliated, abused, insulted in many town hall meetings by non other people but by his own Igbo brothers, he was accused of embezzling monèy meant for radio transmitter, his even most trusted inner circle abandoned him, many people made youtubè video to castigate him but…
He never give up, he was accused of infidelity to destroy his marriage, yet neither him nor hìs wife gave it attention.
All those accusation and challenges was put to test when he wàs arrested in the 2015, even while in underground detention, they keep circulating picture of him with a woman in a hotel room even with his battered face from DSS, in all these Nnamdi Kanu did not capitulate, as vindication he was charged for importing radio transmitter, all of a sudden those who accuse him of embezzlement go silent.
The new accusations starts he has collected money from government, yet not too long it became so clear that the jobless, careerless Nnamdi Kanu, has choosen death over life, that small boy has chosen poverty over wealth. Yet the detractors didn’t give up, when he was released, the news was he will gradually retract his postion and abandon Biafra, yet again he proved them wrong.
Today as true to his promise Nnamdi Kanu, have give up father, mother, wife , children, kingship, house and everything that matters for the sake of Biafra.
Even as his where a-bouts and that of his parents are not yet known detractors still accusing him of running away from the struggle but never care about what the soldiers did in his house, they never care about his old parents whose conditions are not known.
Of all the travails of Nnamdi Kanu, he never let Biafrans down, he kept his promises, he didn’t abandon or compromise,and we as he always say will be the ones to fail him. Nnamdi Kanu never asked us to sacrifice our families for Biafra as he did, all he ask us is boycotting of eĺection and sit at home.
Is that so much to do for a man who give up everything for our sakes.
Nnamdi Kanu has proved to all that EZI AHA ĶA EGO.
