Biafra: What IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu Have Done To Nigeria – Atiku Reveals

Atiku

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar says the agitation for secession by the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, led by Nnamdi Kanu and hate speeches have made Nigeria more divided than ever.

The former Vice President, who was represented by his media aide, Paul Ibe, noted this at the 40th anniversary of the Federal Government College, Okigwe, Imo State, over the weekend.

Abubakar traced the establishment of federal government colleges to a conscious move by the then military government to promote unity after the civil war.

He therefore, calls for unity among the various groups in the country, stating that all tribes needed one another to enhance progress and achievement.

He said: “This celebration is coming at a critical time in our country’s history.

“All of you must be aware of the recent agitations from different parts of the country, with some groups threatening violence and, in some cases, secession. These agitations are the result of a number of factors which I will not bother going into at this time, although since you are all enlightened men and women, I have no doubt that you are well and fully aware of what they are.

“As a result of these various forces, the Nigeria of today appears more divided than it has ever been before. Our country is not at war in the sense of guns and bombs, but the level of inter-ethnic discontent, hatred, and hate speech is at an all-time high.

“Recently, Nigeria has been embroiled in secession calls particularly from the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in the South-eastern part of the country.”

“To quell the tension which has arisen from IPOB agitation and that of other groups, many Nigerians have called for restructuring of the political system.

“You know from personal experience that the Hausa man’s problem is not the Igbo man, that the Igbo man’s problem is not the Yoruba man, that the Yoruba man’s problem is not the Hausa man, etc.

“You know the beauty of unity, of living together as brother and sister, in the same dormitory, in the same classroom, of belonging to the same house and working towards the same goal, whether it be winning a medal during inter-house sports competitions or a prize during a quiz competition. You know that, at those critical times when everyone’s eye is on the goal, the Hausa, Igbo and Yoruba need one another, must depend on one another to achieve.”

“Nobody can Islamise Nigeria”- Vice President Yemi Osinbajo.

That is what the leaders of Egypt and Turkey once said. They both used to be 99% Christian until they let down their guard. Now they are both Muslim countries with tiny Christian minorities.

Leaders must LEARN from history and STOP IGNORING it.

The truth is that Osinbajo betrayed the Church by pairing with a man who HATES southerners and Christians.

Under Buhari the head of EVERY military and security agency in our country except for one is headed by a northern Muslim and every parastatal in the energy sector is headed by a northerner.

    Finally consider this:

The D-8 countries are Bangladesh, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Malaysia, Nigeria, Pakistan and Turkey. They all have one thing in common: ISLAM.

Osinbajo talks down on the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) for raising the alarm of islamisation. Nigeria is now a member of EVERY international Islamic organisation yet, according to him, there is no islamisation agenda!

Are we to keep quiet until they either pull down every Church or announce it officially? Somebody needs to talk to the VP. He has forgotten why he was named the running mate to Buhari instead of his mentor, Bola Tinubu.

He needs to study the book of Esther before it is too late!

I personally thank the Federal Government for restoring peace for last two months and showing these hooligans that no one can bring disunity in this country and succeed.

It’s also a good news that many youths have come to their senses realising that this Movement is nothing but a scam, I’m sorry for the ignorant youths that got hurt believing in the cheap lies they were told.

      By Mazi Onyebuchi Eze
      For Family Writers

Nigerian government has once again proved to the world that the defunct Nigeria federation is indeed the “Estate” or “Property” of Uthman Dan Fodio as declared by his great grandson, Late Alhaji Sir Ahmadu Bello (Sardauna of Sokoto), when Nigerian government heeded to the command of Arewa Youths that IPOB must be labeled a “Terrorist” organisation. It could be recalled as captured by history that on October 12, 1960, just eleven days after the Nigeria’s Quasi Independence from Britain, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello who was then the Premier of Northern Region of the defunct Nigeria federation, said verbatim as was published on Parrot Newspaper of October 12, 1960 that “The new nation called Nigeria will be an estate of our great grandfather, Uthman Dan Fodio. We (Northerners) will ruthlessly prevent any change in government. We will use Northern minority as willing tools and South as conquered territory and will never allow them to have control over their future or allow them to rule over us (Northerners)”. This declaration of Late Alhaji Ahmadu Bello was the foundation upon which anything called One Nigeria is built and reason for the power drunkenness of Northern Nigeria.

It could be recalled that on June 6, 2017, Arewa Youths Coalition inside the Arewa House in Kaduna issued a quit notice to Igbo people living in Northern Nigeria to leave North before September 30th or be forcefully evicted out of every part of Northern Nigeria after the expiration of the deadline. Sequel to the quit notice given to Igbos in the North, was an open letter sent by the Arewa youths to Nigerian government that the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide under the Supreme command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu for no crime must be designated terrorists organisation because of their vehement resolve that Biafra referendum must be conducted. Certified copies of the open letter of the Arewa Youths were also said to have been sent to the United Nations, Africa Union and ECOWAS calling on these international organizations to join Nigeria government in designating IPOB members as terrorist organization when it is obvious to the world that all that IPOB is demanding for is a referendum, where the people of Biafra will decide if they wish to continue in Nigeria or restore the sovereignty of Biafra.

It was upon this demand by the Arewa youths who claim ownership of Nigeria, that Nigeria government must on their command designate IPOB as terrorist organization even if it is outside both Nigerian domestic laws or international laws, that Nigeria government eventually obeyed the youths and lawlessly designated IPOB terrorist organisation through a black market court order given by Justice Abdul Kafarati of Federal High Court, Abuja. It is a thing of shame that Nigerian government which threw to dustbin a call from United Nations to have the notorious Arewa Youths arrested and prosecuted for threatening genocide on Biafra populace in the north, was finally able to heed the lawless command of Arewa Youths and rewarded them for threatening genocide on Igbo people with designation of IPOB as terrorist organization to satisfy their ungodly yearning.

Many people may believe that Nigerian government actually agreed to designate IPOB as a terrorist organisation because Arewa notorious youths said that it is only when Nigeria government designate IPOB a terrorist organisation, that they will withdraw their quit notice against Igbo people living in the North, but it is more than just that. Nigeria government is already the property of those Janjaweed Arewa youths and whatever they order Nigeria government, it must be obeyed by the government.

If not, the call for IPOB to be designated terrorists organisation was also made to United Nations, Africa Union and ECOWAS by the same Arewa Youths Coalition just as it was made to Nigeria government. However, as United Nations refused to heed the obnoxious designation of IPOB as a terrorist organization, because IPOB has no antecedents of terrorism in its records of activities, Nigeria government went outside the law by unlawfully designating IPOB as a terrorist organisation just to satisfy the ungodly yearning of Arewa Youths.

Now that Nigerian government has made the mistake of the century by designating IPOB a terrorist organisation without considering the place of the international laws on the unlawful exercise because terrorism is not a domestic issue in any nation of the world, Nigeria government will only purge itself of the show of shame by ordering the corrupt Judge, Justice Abdul Kafarati to vacate the black market court order given by him in his obscure Chamber and go ahead to tender publicly his apologies to the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) for venturing into such a lawless move in the first place. Nigerian government will restore the confidence of International community to herself and restore her battered diplomatic image before the world if the government will quickly quash terrorist tag on IPOB and de-gazzette it from the official government gazette.

It is a thing of shame to say that IPOB was declared a terrorist organisation at the command or demand of the clueless Arewa notorious youths. Nigerian government should rather courageously obey the call of United Nations by arresting Arewa Youths and prosecuting them for threatening genocide on the peaceful people of Biafra in Northern Nigeria. It is only when Nigerian government withdraw the declaration of IPOB members as terrorist organization, that the world will once again see Nigeria government as reasonable because Nigerian government is yet to designate Fulani Herdsmen as terrorists who are going about killing people. The world should also break silence over the impunity of Nigerian government meted on the peaceful people of Biafra in Nigeria in the interest of justice and peace. I rest my case!
