Nigerian Govt Agrees To Pay N88Billion To Biafra War Victims

47 years after, victims of Nigeria/Biafra civil war will be receiving N88billion from the Nigerian Government, which is also set out for completion of demining and destruction of abandoned explosives within the South-East, South-South and North Central regions of the country.
The Nigerian government said N38billion will be paid to contractors for total and complete demining and destruction of abandoned bombs and landmines within the regions, while it would pay N50billion compensation to “true victims” of the civil war that occurred between 1967 and 1970.
The decision which has been endorsed before the ECOWAS Court in Abuja on Monday, followed a suit marked ECW/CCJ/APP/06/12, which was filed before the ECOWAS Court on May 2, 2012, by one Vincent Agu and 19 others against FG and five others.
States which are to benefit from this are Anambra, Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Ebonyi, Cross River, Abia, Enugu and Benue, as the Federal Government opted for an out-of-court- settlement of the matter after four years negotiation period.

Muhammed Buhari your government’s payment of a pitiful 88 Billion Naira to Biafran victims of your war crime is simply, an insult. The amount should have been into trillions of Naira plus interests. What about reparation for “abandoned properties of the Igbos that you and your friends in Lagos, Northern Nigeria and elsewhere that you and criminal friends confiscated ? what about the value of shares in today’s money that robbed off them and billions of pounds in sterling currency; which was what the currency in use in Nigeria at the time that you seized those in their bank accounts, and only repaid them £20 after the war, irrespective of the amount that they had prior to your genocidal war against the Igbos, a war that you still carrying on against them till this day from your 5%/ 97% share of appointments and your Northern dominated army of python dancer . Your offer of 88 billion naira is nothing but a gimmick as was the payment of pension to ex Biafran police officer 50 yrs after the war when most of then and their widows had long died. Have cleaned the Ogoniland that you and your vice promised the Ogonis with huge funfair ?. Mr Buhari we are no longer as stupid as some us once were. Believe me , we are not, Thanks to Nnamdi Kanu and may Chukwu Okike bless him for his honesty and courage to challenge the status quo and there is no going back !.
