Senate Urges Buhari To Immediately Name Federal Poly, Oko, After Alex Ekwueme
Nigerian Senate on Tuesday urged President Muhammadu Buhari-led federal government to immediately name the Federal Polytechnic Oko and other Federal assets after the late former Vice President of Nigeria, Alex Ekwueme.
The Senate, in a point of order raised by DSP, Ike Ekweremadu on the death of former Vice President, Alex Ekwueme and says he was an intellectual giant and lived an exemplary life worthy of emulation.
The Senators took time to eulogised the late Ekwueme and observed a minute silence as mark of honour.
The Senate also agreed to send a delegate to condole with the family, Government and people of Anambra State.

It’s an insult to name Fed poly Oko after him. Ekwueme was not a local champion. At least FUTO could be named after the nationalist.
