Consequences Of Not Paying Tithes – Oyedepo Reveals
Bishop David Oyedepo of Living Faith Ministries has revealed the consequences that await any Christian who doesn’t pay tithe.
Oyedepo, while speaking to members of Dunamis International Gospel Centre in Abuja on Thursday said that tithing opens the windows of heaven and ensures divine blessings for christians adding that those who don’t pay are permanently beggars. In his words;
“If you don’t pay tithe you are permanently a beggar. I’m permanently under an open heaven. Every seed you give to God returns but only tithe secures your destiny. It’s tithing that secures your blessing. Through the mystery of tithing, you don’t run out of divine ideas. Tithing opens the windows of heaven and pours you quick understandings.”

Which they can not openly say,but they are hiding under tithe and false love for the people to express their frustration- Which blossomed in them as a result of jealousy, greed and covetousness in heart. For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. I am not surprised at all,for Judas too was bittered and jealous against the woman who poured an expensive perfume on the feet of the Lord. It takes faith and great determination to serve and worship God in all raminfication. E.g. offering, fasting, giving in its multifarious forms,prayer, tithing,love,upholding justice,mercy and a whole lot of other godly virtues. All this godly principles was never abolished by the Lord Jesus Christ,rather He upheld all of them. And He made it clear,when He said I have not come to abolish the law,but to fulfill them as long as the heaven and Earth remains. May God help us.

Those who teach that Christians are obligated to tithe can be categorized into two main groups: 1. those who say we are still under the Mosaic Law or portions of it; 2. those who say the tithe is part of the Abrahamic Covenant which is pre-Mosaic. The latter group says the Abrahamic Covenant, being a covenant of faith, is valid for the church. They say Abraham was a tither. Therefore, we should tithe.
Let us deal first with the pre-Mosaic arguments. This teaching is used by those ministries who have taught the Mosaic Law is done away with and therefore cannot be put upon Christians. They are correct regarding the Mosaic Law having passed away.
(We cannot get into this subject fully because it would take up too much space, but a handful of Scriptures might be helpful to those who disagree on this point. See 2 Cor. 3:11,13; Hebrews 8:13; Gal. 4:21-26; really all of Galatians and Hebrews.)
Briefly, the Old Covenant (Mosaic Covenant) was a two-sided agreement between Israel and Yahweh in which Yahweh would bless them if they kept their part of the agreement and He would curse them if they didn’t. It was an all or nothing package. A person was not allowed to turn this agreement into a smorgasbord, picking and choosing what suited one’s religious diet. They could not choose what to keep and what to throw out. James 2:10 tells us that “whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all.”
Almost all denominations of Christianity have taken portions of the Mosaic Covenant, “Christened them,” and added them to the New Covenant. Without being aware of it, this has made most Christians guilty of the whole Mosaic Law, which says it all must be kept. At the same time, they have “fallen from grace” because of mixing it with a covenant which no longer serves a purpose for those under the New Covenant. This is not to say that we cannot learn many wonderful truths from the Mosaic Law. We are just no longer in covenantal relationship with God through that covenant. We are in covenantal relationship with God through a New Covenant ratified by Jesus Christ, not Moses.
The fact that most denominations of Christendom have not understood this vital point has caused us to fall from “grace through faith,” the very power of the New Covenant itself. What is tragic is that most Christians are not even aware of this “falling away” which has been going on for hundreds of years. Most denominations have mixed the Mosaic Covenant instituted by Moses with the New Covenant, which is the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus. (Rom. 8:2) One covenant brought death (and always will); the other brought Life. If you believe any of the Old Covenant is still binding to a believer in Christ, read what Paul has to say in 2 Corinthians chapter three verses four through eighteen about the cornerstone of the Mosaic Covenant, that is, the Ten Commandments. This should cure anyone of binding themselves to the “ministry of death.” The consequences of this mixture have been catastrophic. A careful non-biased survey of church history should reveal what this mixture has produced. While this paper is not about Mosaic Law versus Grace, I felt the subject had to be touched somewhat. Back to the subject at hand.

And listen, if Christ, Peter and Paul did not use the biblical tithe for any of their work in teaching the Gospel, Christian ministers today should not use the biblical tithe either. The Jewish religious authorities are wise enough to read what the Word of God states about the tithe and, thankfully, they abide by it. Thankfully, Jewish theologians know better than their Christian counterparts. They are well aware that only Levites have the right to receive tithe of the people. After all, the Jewish leaders have the Old Testament as their Scripture and that’s what it commands. And since there is no Temple in existence (and consequently no ordained Levites or Priests serving in a Temple), then a major factor in fulfilling the laws of tithing does not exist in our modern world.

Is a fat lie. I won’t believe this is from Papa. Jesus Christ secures my destiny, n not tithe. My salvation, as expensive as it is, I never paid a dime for it. All he ask is my worship. Guy man still no scriptural back up for tithe paying? It’s obvious that the message is hitting hard on them.
I know most pastors are now calculating their Sunday tithe money to Know if people are actually paying or not. But the truth remains, that millions have woken up to the reality of it, that’s why our guy men pastors now resort to threat.
Let any sensible person in support of tithe tell why those who don’t go to church, but have the fear of mankind are more wealthy than those who claim to go to church and pay tithe every Sunday?
Secondly why are they not poor since they don’t pay tithe to their pastors?
Thirdly why are those none Christian countries who don’t pay tithe more richer than Nigeria a Christian nation that pays tithe? My guy make una dey ask questions too, amongst the 3 pastors so far who have spoken couldn’t back his claim.
Fist speaker- pastor adeboye pay your tithe to avoid a divine curse(threaten) without scriptural backings.
Second speaker- pastor suleman, the tithe you all give here is nothing. I give time 2 of it, (arrogance and insult) without scriptural backings.
Third speaker- pastor oyedepo those who don’t pay tithe are permanent beggars(lies just like lie Muhammad of APC) without scriptural back up.
Just imagine dangote who don’t pay tithe begging? A word is enough for the wise.

Ur opinion about d subject is base on your understanding. It wasn’t recorded anywhere in d scripture that when u don’t pay tithe u go to hell,but remember partial obedient is no obedient at all.some say that it’s an old testament law,but mind you both the old testament and the new testament that we all regards as the era of grace is still the word of God .and the word of God cannot be broken. Talking about visiting the widows, paying school fees for the orphans and taking care of the less privilege around us they are very good and is also one of the process through which one can use to move the hand of God, is liking to a scarify or offering is not and cannot be called tithe. So many teaching and argument about tithe ,so many understanding on that matter but the summary of the whole subject matter is that tithe is biblical and is not to help your pastor nor your church rather is simple obedient to the word of God. And d their is always a reward in obedient and I haven’t seen or heard about any pastor forcing its member s to obey rather u are taught the principles of the kingdom, application is your duty if u so wish thank u
