Metuh Alleges Threat, Harassment Of His Doctors By APC

Olisa Metuh, the former publicity secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has alleged undue political interest and interference in his case by members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).

Benchuks Nwosu, his counsel, said “in the past few weeks, we have witnessed statements, sponsored articles and comments by the All Progressives Congress (APC) and some Federal Government office holders and apologists in furtherance of the well-funded media trial against our client, Chief Olisa Metuh.”

Metuh is standing trial for alleged money laundering being part of the funds linked with Col. Sambo Dasuki (rtd.), former National Security Adviser.

In a statement obtained by ORIENTAL TIMES, Metuh’s lawyers described as disturbing “the direct threat, harassment and intimidation of medical personnel and institutions involved in the treatment and management of our client’s ill-health.”

They claimed to have evidence of APC-controlled agents directly interfering with the various hospitals that had admitted Metuh in the last two months.

“The latest is the letter written by APC to the Wellington Hospital, London, UK, depicting our client as an enemy of the Nigerian state and one that should not even access medical treatment abroad,” they claimed.
