JUST IN: Herdsmen Kill 3 Persons In Plateau

No fewer than three persons were killed in the early hours of Saturday by suspected Fulani herdsmen in Kura Falls community in Gashish District of Barkin-Ladi Local Government Area of Plateau State.

Police Public Relations Officer of the state’s Police Command, ASP Matthias Terna Tyopev, confirmed the killing and said the residents were attacked in the early hours of Saturday.

“We received an information at about 0700hrs on Saturday that residents were attacked in Kura Falls by unknown gunmen which resulted in the death of three persons.”

Tyopev gave names of the deceased persons as Dawala Bullet 30, Fidelis Richard 3, and 60-year-old Iliya Doro all male of the same Kura Falls community.

“We have mobilised our personnel to the Gashish District to avert further killing of lives and destruction of properties while investigation has commenced with a view to track down the perpetrators and made them to face the wrath of the law.

He enjoined the resident to go about their normal activities and report any suspicious movement within and outside the community for prompt action.
