It’s been 20 years since the death of Nigerian military ruler Sani Abacha. We’ve had a look at the numbers – what he is reported to have looted, and what’s been recovered. Abacha remains a divisive figure in Nigeria – how do you remember him?

To mark the 20th anniversary of Sani Abacha’s death, BBC did a graphic illustration of the late general’s loot and how much of the money has been recovered by the Nigerian government.

General Sani Abacha was born in Kano state, northern Nigeria on the 20 September 1943.

On the 8th of June 1998 Abacha died from a suspected heart attack and is buried the same day. Nigeria transitions to democratic rule one year later.

    then with all this loots from Nigerians pots to different government in Europe and America the world are calling Nigerians scammers tell me here who is the scammers here now, this is for one person what of others their own are not open, if you are to look at this story Europeans and American are the number one scammers and tiff Nigeria sorry what a mess, that means 419 continue because anything that haves original also haves fake the world should stop looting from Nigerians pots thanks
