Okorocha Accused Of Trespass On Multi-Million Naira Igbozurume’s Property
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State has been accused of trespassing on a multi-million Naira complex belonging to a Pan-Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Igbozurume with a view to allegedly convert the said property to Rochas Foundation School.
Okorocha’s accuser Prophet Godfrey Gbujie of Imo State stated that the property is located near the Akanu Ibiam International Airport roundabout in Emene, Enugu State.
This accusation is coming less than three months after the burial of Col Joe Achuzie who until his death was the President General of Igbozurume.
Speaking with Daily Independent in Owerri, Prophet Gbujie said, “I want to alert all Igbo people that Igbozurume’s property is under threat and Governor Rochas Okorocha is already converting the land and structures in the place for personal use.
“I worked and was very close to Col Joe Achuzie who told me everything about Igbozurume and its properties in Enugu. Enugu State government donated the land and personalities who piloted the affairs of the group are Chief Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the former Governor of old Imo State Dr Sam Mbakwe, Chief Chekwas Okorie and Rochas Okorocha who was then made Igbozurume caretaker. If you go there now, Rochas is building new structures including school hostels”.
According to Gbujie, the government of Enugu State has been alerted over Okorocha’s alleged intention to claim the land acquired by Igbozurume to effect change of purpose.
Efforts made to reach the Imo State information commissioner Professor Nnamdi Obiaraeri for comments failed as his telephone rang severally and he couldn’t pick
Another effort made to reach the Director General of Igbozurume Dr Mrs Nkechi Onumajulu to ascertain the present status of Igbozurume and its properties located in Enugu also failed.

Why are we always a laughing stock among our compatriot tribes like Hausa Fulani and Yoruba. How can someone because he is holding a political office in Igboland become heaven and earth that no one can talk to?
