2019: Fani-Kayode Calls For Referendum, Says Removing Buhari Will Not Solve Nigeria’s Problems

femi fani-kayode

Former minister of Aviation and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Femi Fani-Kayode, has stated that just removing President Muhammadu Buhari from office is not the solution to the problems bedeviling Nigeria.

According to him, problems of Nigeria can only be solved by having a credible and all-encompassing referendum and ensuring that “our so-called federation is properly and thoroughly restructured.”

He stated this in a new month message posted on his Facebook wall.

He said, “Election fever has gripped our country and many want to be President. Some are serious contenders whilst others are not. Yet the truth is that our problems cannot be solved simply by a Presidential election.

“It is a good start but it is not a cure all. We need to do far more than just electing a new President if we want lasting peace, if we want to flourish as a people and if we want to grow as a nation.

“Anyone that believes that removing Buhari alone will solve all our problems is naive and shortsighted. We need to go much further than that.

“The reality is that the problems of Nigeria can only be solved by having a credible and all-encompassing REFERENDUM and ensuring that our so-called federation is properly and thoroughly RESTRUCTURED. Anything short of that means we are simply postponing the evil day.

“Outside of that, whether it is Buhari or anyone else that is at the helm of affairs from next year, the very real challenges and fundamental problems that we are witnessing today as a nation will simply continue. May God grant us wisdom, understanding and foresight.”

Fani kayode, I gave u 100% support what on what u said, for me that was all my comments every time, divide this country into two so that they will be peace every where, bcos its true removing buhari in 2019 and putting another person worse than buhari is can not solve d problem in this country, Nigeria has expired and they is nothing u can do to bring peace again in Nigeria forget some ppl that are deceiving themselves that we are one Nigeria, that we love each other, thats a capital lie, northern hates every body from d east, like wise easterns hates northerns, forget about our leaders they all knows this things am saying but they were all pretending as if they don’t know bcos they were making money there in d office. So separation is d only solution that can solve it and bring peace

U think Britain would just watch and allow referendum that would lead to disintegration. Britain is the unseen force supporting those people that marginalize the Eastern part of the country. That’s y these people are hail bent against restructuring.

The problem with Nigeria, especially the ruling class is that, they are so myopic in reasoning.the only solution to Nigeria problem is referendum and nothing ll stop ipob from achieving the struggle…Nnamdi kanu was born for that singular reason and at the end he ll win.Even the
white researchers knows about it.its just a matter of time it ll come bf everybody’s eye.
