Igbo Group Urges Saraki, Ekweremadu To Contest For President, Vice

Bukola Saraki and Ike Ekweremadu

A non-governmental Igbo organisation, Igbo Democratic Allaince (IDA) has urged the senate President, Bukola Saraki and Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu to contest for the offices of President and Vice president respectively.

According to the President General and the Secretary General of the organisation, Chief Goodluck Egwu Ibem and Dr. Dennis Chinwe John, the group decided this after “going through the antecedents of eminent politicians in the country, having been tired of despotic and selfish leadership of the present administration”.

They said they were mandated for the search by well-meaning citizens of the country “for a leader who will identify with the sufferings and aspirations of the people”.
