Who Am I To Speak After The Jagaban Has Spoken, Ambode Acknowledges Tinubu
The Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Monday jokingly asked if he was qualified to speak after the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress, Bola Tinubu, had addressed an audience at an event.
“Actually, I didn’t prepare to come and say anything here and who am I to speak after the Jagaban has spoken?”, he questioned.
He made the comments while addressing the audience at the launch of the new book of the founder of Zenith Bank, Jim Ovia.
Speaking about the new book, ‘Africa Rise And Shine’ the governor said he was certain that the wealth of experience shared by the author will serve as a compass for young entrepreneurs in the country.
He said, “I am certain that the wealth of experience shared will serve as a compass for young entrepreneurs who dare to dream and redefine the African narrative”.
The Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, was also at the book launch.
Other dignitaries at the event include foremost chartered accountant, Akintola Willams; CEO Channels Media Group, Mr John Momoh; Chairman of Heirs Holdings, United Bank for Africa, Tony Elumelu.
Billionaire businesswoman, Folorunsho Alakija; Nigeria’s former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Christopher Kolade; political economist, Pat Utomi, among others were also at the event.
