Edo PDP Chairman Calls For Resignation Of INEC Chairman
Edo State Chairman of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Chief Dan Orbih has called on the Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof. Mahmud Yakubu to immediately table his resignation following the inability of the commission to conduct a smooth election.
Orbih who spoke at Okpella, Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo state during a campaign rally said that Mahmud has consistently displayed his inability to conduct elections starting with the botched Rivers State House of Assembly election and the Osun state governorship election which was declared inconclusive.
At the rally which was organized to mark the defection of, Prince Kaseem Afegbua, former Edo state Commissioner of Information and spokesman to former military President Ibrahim Babangida slammed the electoral boss for his incompetence.
He said: “The INEC chairman should immediately tender his resignation as he has clearly shown his incompetence.
Mahmud is incompetent and should not be allowed to conduct the 2019 election.”
He said that the Osun governorship election which showed a victory for Senator Ademola Adeleke of the PDP was a pointer to what awaits the All Progressives Congress (APC), led government of President Muhammadu Buhari in the 2019 elections.
Afegbua said that he left the ruling party for the opposition because of the bad policies and lack of focus on the APC which has impoverished Nigerians in the last three years.
He told the mammoth crowd that part of the reasons why he left the APC was the underdevelopment of his community Okpella which refused to rehabilitate roads in the community, the home base of the multi-billion Naira BUA cement factory.

From Ewenyi..
WHAT’S THIS NOISE ABOUT OSUN ELECTION INCONCLUSIVENESS
Don’t let us be mischievous
We Can’t Love Rules of Law Only When They Favour Our Fancy!!!!
In November, 2015 late Prince Abubakar Audu of APC was leading Idris Wada of PDP by
41,000 votes at the close of voting in the Kogi State Gubernatorial elections….
The 41,000 Margin of Win was enough to declare him winner but the CANCELLED VOTES was 43,000, higher than the margin of win and could swing the election on paper.
INEC declared the election inconclusive and did Re-run in the affected polling units to conclude the elections…
INEC has not done anything wrong with its decision on #OsunStateGubernatorialelection
