BREAKING: Buhari Approves Payment Of N22.68 Billion To Ex-Workers Of Nigeria Airways
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the sum of N22.68 billion to be paid to former workers of defunct Nigerian Airways.
The Minister of Finance, Mrs. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed made the disclosure in a tweet, she said:
“15 years after, I’m happy to announce today, that President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the immediate release of N22.68 billion, being 50% of N45.3 billion total entitlements of the Ex-workers of Nigeria Airways Limited in Liquidation.”

Since the Nigeria Airways was formally liquidated in 1999, the ex-workers of the once thriving national airline have gone through embarrassing travails.
The Buhari-led administration had promised to redress the long disservice done to the ex-Nigeria Airways workers.
