Fani-Kayode: Omisore’s Decision To Support APC In Osun Rerun Is Shameful
A former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has described as shameful the decision of candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in the Osun State governorship election, Iyiola Omisore, to support the All Progressives Congress, APC, in tomorrow’s supplementary poll in Osun.
Omisore, who came a distant third in the Saturday’s inconclusive election, Wednesday afternoon said that his party had decided to endorse APC. This was after he initially asked his supporters to go with any party that shares the interest of SDP.
Reacting to Omisore’s decision, Fani-Kayode wrote:
“Iyiola Omisore’s decision to support the APC in tomorrow’s rerun is shameful. It is sad that he would seek to deny Ile-Ife the position of Deputy Governor simply for money.
“He told me he would stand firm two days ago and he told our leader and father Baba Ayo Adebanjo the same thing last night.
“I do not know what has turned his head but we shall forge ahead and by God’s grace Senator Demola Adeleke will win.
“There is no excuse or justification for joining or supporting those who treated our people like filth and slaves over the last 8 years and who rigged last Saturdays election.”

You did it for stomach infrastructure and Omisore too, has his own aspirations. He wasn’t in politics to serve PDP!!

I think many people who are blaming omisore for supporting APC are Making mistake. I think omisore is doing the right thing, right thing in the sense that, those people in pdp now are whom that first killed his opportunity to be a governor of osun, so this is pay back. if all this people initially did not work against omisore in 2014, omisore wouldn’t have been defeated by incumbent governor. apart from this, if APC win osun election, omisore can still go to Senate, but if pdp wins, his ambition to still relevant in osun politics may be too slim. we are all human, I think omisore is right in his direction. God bless imala, God bless Ogun state and God bless Nigeria
