When one’s father is talking and his son will be sleeping simply means that he talking rubbish, lies, or perhaps, disturbing him.
I think that this could be the case here otherwise, this was his first to be a the U.N. General Meeting that supposedly, he should be lively at least to hear and see how everything goes but instead he opted to cruise into deep sleep.
Apparently, he’s also fed up like every other Nigerian.
