Osun Election: Police Fired Shots At Protesting PDP Leaders — Ben Murray-Bruce

Senator Ben Murray-Bruce, who reacted to report of PDP leaders who are protesting over the outcome of the Osun election at INEC secretariat, alleged that shots were fired and tear gas was also sprayed on the PDP leaders.

Senator Ben Bruce who stated that the PDP leaders went on a peaceful protest, wrote;

I have just been teargassed by the @PoliceNG at @inecnigeria office. Gunshots have been fired. This was a d still is a peaceful protest. How can I be treated like this in a country I have fought for and invested in? This is madness, I came with words they answered with bullets!

It would be recalled that Nigeria’s Senate President, Bukola Saraki led a PDP protest to INEC Secretariat over the Osun Election which has generated so much controversy.

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and the national chairman of the party, Uche Secondus, Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State; former Niger State Governor and presidential aspirant Sule Lamido; Senator Dino Melaye also joined Saraki in the PDP protest against the outcome of the recently concluded Osun State Governorship election.

The protesters asked INEC, to declare PDP candidate Ademola Adeleke as the winner of the Osun election.
