South East Governors, Ohanaeze Meet In Enugu Over Peter Obi
South East Governors and Ohanaeze Ndigbo will this afternoon in Enugu meet over the choice of former governor of Anambra State, Peter Obi, as the running mate to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
The meeting which will also be attended by some key PDP officials from the zone will centre on the refusal of Abubakar to consult with the governors and critical stakeholders before settling for Obi as his running mate.
A top PDP official who is also a senatorial candidate accused Abubakar of not keeping to his earlier promise and told Daily Sun that the meeting is to look at options before the South East PDP leaders.
He disclosed that Governors from the zone and other leaders, having been treated disdainfully by the PDP candidate may endorse President Muhammadu Buhari for 2019 election.

In politics you consult and align. When you consult the other party will articulate their agenda and present an agent. This is why we’ve been getting it wrong politically. We secured all ministerial appointments and did not turn it to anything meaningful under OBJ and Jonathan. Where is our agenda in all this or do we follow blindly.

Peter Obi was chosen on account of his past enviable histories. He is intelligent, serious minded and hard working. I hope you guys are not frowning about his choice of VP because he does not share Public wealth during his governorship. Dont they have a better avenue or channel to resolve the issue or reach to a common understanding? Why would individualistic interests always override our collective regional interests most of the time?? Are we cursed or are we the cause?? Atiku took a decision which he has the prerogative to do so, why stirring up murky waters??
