JUST IN: ‘Buhari Is A Graduate Of The US Army War College’

Publisher of Ovation Magazine, Dele Momodu, has reacted to the hoopla surrounding the qualifications of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Sharing an email response from US Army College which revealed that Buhari is a graduate of the US Army War College, Momodu wrote:

Nigerians should campaign for their candidates on issues and avoid frivolous distractions… Buhari in his military courses surpassed WAEC certificates, we should let sleeping dogs lie please…

A Buhari supporter, Sunday Iwalaiye, had in 2015 written to the US Army War College seeking clarifications on whether the then APC presidential candidate received a masters degree in Strategic Studies from the school.

In a response from the Army College’s public affairs officer, Carol Kerr, the school confirmed that Buhari is a graduate of the college from the 1980 class. Kerr however stated that what he got was a “diploma” and not a “master’s degree” as the college only started awarding a master’s degree in 2000.
