2019: Oby Ezekwesili Meets Ibrahim Babangida In Minna [PHOTOS]

Bring Back our Girls Convener, Oby Ezekwesili, who is also the presidential candidate of the Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) in the 2019 elections, had a closed door meeting with ex-head of state, Ibrahim Babangida in Minna.

Oby Ezekwesili who shared photos from their meeting on Twitter, disclosed that she told Ibrahim Babangida that now is the time for Nigeria to be taken out of the clutches of the old order during their meeting at the retired general’s house in Minna, Niger state.

She wrote;

”I had a very candid conversation with former head of state, Ibrahim Babangida in Minna after my speech on Human Capital Development at El Amin School yesterday. I made it clear that Nigeria must be taken out of the clutches of the Old Order. This is our mission. #Fight4Naija”

She was however silent on whether she sought or got the endorsement of IBB, whose residence has become a Mecca of sorts to presidential aspirants ahead of the 2019 general election.

A spokesperson for her campaign confirmed the meeting to TheCable but did not full information.

“The discussion was about the future of Nigeria and the 2019 elections,” the official said, refusing to confirm if Ezekwesili sought or got Babangida’s endorsement.
