We’re Not Aware Of Any Attempt On Ekweremadu’s Life — Police

The Police have said they were not aware of the alleged invasion of the residence of the Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, by some assailants on Tuesday in Abuja.

The Federal Capital Territory Police spokesman, Anjuguri Manzah, said he had no information about the reported attempt on the senator’s life by gunmen, one of whom was reportedly apprehended.

He said the Command did not know the division where the case was reported.

“I am not aware of the case. I don’t know the Police division where the case was reported, so, I can’t comment on it,” Manzah stated on the phone.

The Force Public Relations Officer, Moshood Jimoh, did not respond to calls and text message requesting information on the incident.
