Boko Haram Attack Military Base In Yobe, Kill Two Soldiers
Boko Haram insurgents reportedly attacked a military base in Yobe on Saturday night, and allegedly killed two soldiers.
The military base located at Buni Gari, Yobe State is less than 5km away from 27 Task Force Brigade of the Nigeria Army located in Buni Yadi which is just about 50km away from Damaturu, the Yobe State capital.
Vanguard reported that the insurgents stormed Buni Gari at about 5pm, shooting sporadically at the military base. The two soldiers were killed before the sect members set the military base on fire.
However a reliable security source told The Nation, that six Boko Haram insurgents were also killed by the troops.
“We lost two soldiers but we killed six of the bastards,” the source said.
The Boko Haram insurgents attacked the military base in Yobe, few weeks after they attacked military base in Metele and others, reportedly killing over 100 soldiers.
