Why NYSC Dismissed Davido From Service

Davido

It is no longer news that pop singer David Adeleke popularly known in music circles as Davido has been dismissed from completing his one-year compulsory National Youth Service Corp (NYSC).

Ever since the news broke, many have been wondering why the energetic singer was dismissed from completing his one-year service with earlier reports suggesting that he was sent packing for not carrying out his responsibilities as a corps member.

According to fresh reports, Davido was dismissed for breaking many rules during a three-week orientation exercise in Lagos, one of which was leaving the camp without permission.

Davido was also accused of going against orders such as bringing his vehicle to the campground as well as getting involved in politics and as a result, he reportedly got a query from the NYSC headquarters in Abuja for the alleged misconduct.

According to a source in the know; “The NYSC was constrained to ‘dekit’ Davido for violating the rules guiding conduct and activities in the camp.

“As a matter of fact, he absconded because he was away from the camp without permission. That prompted the Corps to issue him a query which was sent from Abuja. So, he is no longer a serving corps member.”

Recall that the singer days ago, revealed that his one-year compulsory service had been cancelled when he responded to the post of entertainment promoter King Smade who shared a letter of commendation given to him by the NYSC for being an exceptional corps member.

The 26-year-old singer had registered for NYSC in 2018 Batch ‘B’ stream II corps members who were sworn in on August 30, after he graduated from Babcock University in 2015 with a degree in music.
