Chief Okeke, who spoke to our correspondent in Awka, the state capital, while reacting on the appointment said it shows President Buhari and the electoral body headed by Prof. Yakubu Mahmood are not planning to conduct a free, fair and credible election in Nigeria.
He urged President Buhari, not to allow Nigerians doubt his integrity, transparency, and accountability he promised the people during the election peace pact he signed in Abuja.
He added that his determination and focus to fight against corruption, campaign of calumny against his person and other political office holders under his watch will be put to public shame if he fails to revised the said appointment.
Above all, it will pave way for vote buying, electoral violence, ballot box snatching, among other social vises during the presidential election.
Nigerians should not be deceived because both the Presidency and the INEC will all be made to account on how the the election was conducted before the international communities.
He urged Nigerians to avoid sentiments but to kick against the appointment before February 16, Presidential election.
