BREAKING: President Buhari Appoints New IGP

President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Adamu Lafiya the new Inspector General of Police.

Publisher and former presidential candidate Dele Momodu shared the news on his Twitter handle.

He wrote “AIG Adamu Lafia from Nasarawa State has emerged as the new IGP.”

It was also subsequently confirmed by popular journalist Ahmad Salkida.

“Just In: Adamu Lafiya is the new IG”, Salkida wrote on Twitter.

The Presidency is yet to issue an official statement at the time of this report.
