Reps Counter Council Of State, Pass N30,000 As New Minimum Wage

house of reps

House of Representatives on Tuesday approved N30,000 as new minimum wage for Nigerian workers.

The approval followed the consideration of the report of the new minimum wage committee at Tuesday plenary.

The House also approved a clause that would make the new bill operational on the date it would be assented to by the president.

Recall that a public hearing was conducted on the new bill yesterday consequent upon the accelerated hearing accorded to the Bill by the House.

By this development, the House has countered the National Council of State, NCS and the State Governors who had earlier at an emergency meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja approved N27,000.

Meanwhile, the House has formally adjourned plenary to February 19 due to the Presidential and National Assembly elections that would hold February 16.

✔️ If not for Buhari, how would I have known that 960 ghost workers from Obasanjo’s Otta farm were on Federal Government payroll.

✔️ If not for Buhari, how would Nigerians have known over 50,000 ghost workers were on federal civil service payroll amounting to N13.1 billion a month.

✔️ If not for Buhari, how would the masses know that 83,000 ghost police workers were on the payroll roll with a monthly salary of N6.2 billion.

✔️ Thank God Buhari is there, now all ministries, and MDA’s are returning unspent budgetary monies. 2017 unspent budget money was N178 billion and returned to the Government coffers.

✔️ If not for Buhari, how would Nigerians have witnessed people running away from stashed cash in Banks. FG is asking; who owns these monies and nobody is coming forth.

✔️ FG is also asking; who owns houses up and down ❓ Nobody is claiming them. Thieves are running away from stolen Properties.

✔️ Under Buhari, we are seeing government monitoring of money through the TSA. It can only be Buhari, they Initiated it and couldn’t implement it, PMB PYO government is implementing it.

✔️ Thank God Buhari is in power. First time in over 15 years where a sitting government is unhindered with infrastructural development in an election year. Buhari is not perturbed with the forth coming election, rather his in built confidence has given him needed strength to steer on. Never seen before.

✔️ This is the first time in an election year where money is not flying out anyhow. Thank God that Buhari have made public coffers more secured than ever.

❤️ This is the complain they keep telling the public. No money, Buhari has improvish Nigerians. Criminals and rascals Kawai. We are not going back to Ghana again.

Thank God. Thank God. Thank God.
