Lamido Of Adamawa Dumps Atiku, Supports Buhari
The Lamido of Adamawa, HRH Dr Mustapha Aliyu Barkindo during a campaign visit of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at his palace in Yola said President Muhammadu Buhari needs more time to finish the good work he has started in the country.
Lamido said this in the midst of all other chiefs and emirs in the state, dispersing the Presidential candidate of People Democracy Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar who is the indigene of the state and holds the traditional title of Wazirin Adamawa state.
The Premier ruler’s strong views on the support of Buhari indicate his decision to dumped Atiku, a kingmaker of his throne.
The APC national campaign train stormed Yola amidst cheering crowd of people in the streets of Yola to welcome Buhari after visiting Jalingo, Taraba State to canvass support for the coming elections.
While at the Ribadu square, Buhari assures Nigerians and the people of Adamawa State of continuing peace he brought after the menace of Boko Haram attacks that displaced communities in the state.
“I assure you of infrastructural development, massive development in the health sector, I will revive all social sectors in the country,” Buhari said.
