Buhari Arrives London For A ‘Private’ Visit

President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived at London, United Kingdom (UK) for a “private” visit.

The President arrived the UK in the wee hours of Friday, Bashir Ahmad, the President’s Personal Assistant on New Media, made this known in a statement on the micro-blogging site, Twitter.

Bashir tweeted: “President Muhammadu Buhari has arrived London, the United Kingdom for a private visit. He left Nigeria earlier today after a State Visit to Borno State where he commissioned a number of developmental projects in the State.”

ORIENTAL TIMES had reported earlier that the President will depart Nigeria for the UK on what the Presidency tagged a “private visit.”

According to the Presidency, President Buhari will return to Nigeria on May 5, 2019.

“Further to the official visit by President @MBuhari to Lagos Wednesday where he commissioned a number of projects executed by @followlasg the President is scheduled to depart for Maiduguri, the Borno State capital for another official visit Thursday.

“He is expected to commission developmental projects, especially in education, healthcare and roads. At the end of the visit to Borno State, President @MBuhari will be proceeding to the United Kingdom on a private visit. He is expected to return to Nigeria on May 5, 2019,” the Presidency said in a statement on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Thursday.
