Nnamdi Kanu To Mark ‘Biafra Remembrance Day’ In US, Orders Sit-At-Home Across Biafraland

Nnamdi Kanu

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, on Monday, announced that he will celebrate the forthcoming “Biafra Remembrance Day” in Atlanta Georgia, United States of America (USA) on May 30.

The IPOB leader made this known in a post on the microblogging site, Twitter.

Kanu said Biafra Remembrance Day is a day set aside for all Biafrans to honour those that died in the struggle for Biafra actualization.

He also called on all “Biafrans” to sit at home on that day to honour those who died that other agitators may live.

The IPOB leader tweeted: “I will join fellow Biafrans across the USA & the rest of the world to mark this year’s 30th of May Remembrance Day at the main event in Atlanta Georgia.

“It’s our duty to honour those who died that we may live. #SitAtHome across Biafraland,” Kanu wrote on Twitter.

ORIENTAL TIMES had earlier reported that IPOB declared May 30 as a sit-at-home day for all Biafrans in remembrance of its fallen heroes.
