Biafra: Ohanaeze Calls On IPOB To Reconcile With Asari Dokubo
The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide on Wednesday made an appeal to the leader of Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu to reconcile with ex-Niger Delta militant Asari Dokubo.
The group made the appeal through a statement by its President General, Okechukwu Isiguzoro.
The group called on both parties to reconcile, adding that the rift between Nnamdi Kanu and Dokubo was threatening the bond between South- East and South-South parts of Nigeria.
The statement read: “IPOB should make peace with Asari Dokubo urgently as the rift is threatening the bond and partnership existing between the South East and South/South.
“Since after the war, the two regions had been enjoying the harmonious relationship between them, so we advocate that IPOB should extend hands of friendship to Asari Dokubo, as we will not allow any misunderstanding between Nnamdi Kanu and Asari Dokubo escalate, and IPOB should use the May 30th to mend fence with ex-Niger Delta Agitators rather than Sit at home.”
Kanu and Dokubo have been at loggerheads over Biafra agitation, with Dokubo vowing to deal with the IPOB leader days ago.
Asari had accused Kanu of hijacking the struggle for the actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra.
Kanu had also rubbished Dokubo’s allegations with his group IPOB labelling the ex-militant a traitor.
