We Shall Do Things Differently – Ihedioha Assures

OWERRI — The newly-inaugurated Governor of Imo State, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, yesterday, declared his readiness to do a different thing in his time of administration.

Ihedioha made this known while delivering his first speech at the Extended Executive Council Chambers, Government House, Owerri, during the swearing- in ceremony of the recently appointed Secretary to the State Government, Barr. Uche Onyeagocha and the Chief of Staff, Government House; Barr. Chris Okewulonu.

The Governor expressed his preparedness to restore sanity back to the state; and promised that he would follow due process, put things right and maintain the rule of law which according to him, shall not be breached in his administration.

” Being the Governor of Imo state is not my birth right;but it’s a privilege that I am one”, He said.
Chief Ihedioha who described the two appointments as crucial and a take- off of his government, assured that his administration will achieve it’s plans to deliver the grains of democracy to Imo people.

Responding, the SSG, Barr Uche Onyeagocha thanked the Governor, Chief Emeka Ihedioha finding them worthy to serve in his administration.

He expressed gratitude and therefore promised to work hard towards ensuring that the campaign promises of are fulfilled.

Those present at the swearing-in ceremony were the Deputy Governor, Hon Gerald Irona, Imo House of Assembly Speaker; Hon Chinedu Offor, The Chief Judge of Imo State; Hon Paschal Nnadi, The Head of Service; Barr.Almar Eluwa, The Chairman, Imo State Council of Traditional Rulers; His Royal Majesty, Eze Samuel Agunwa Ohiri, The Principal Secretary to the immediate- past Governor; Mr Emeka Duru, The State PDP Chairman; Barr. Charles Ezekwem among other top government functionaries and stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

In a Press interview, Ambassador Ann Mbachu described the Governor as a man of integrity; and a visionary leader. ” I am in support and behind His Excellency, Rt Hon Emeka Ihedioha.

Also, Mr Ike Ogbuebile said, that the Governor, Emeka Ihedioha is a leader that would make positive impacts on the lives of Imo people and therefore called for his continued support.
