Chiji Collins Emerges Imo Speaker

Members-elect of the Imo State House of Assembly on Thursday elected Chiji Collins as their Speaker.

He was elected unopposed following a nomination by Lawman Duruji (Ehime Mbano) and seconded by Kennedy Ibe (Obowo).

The new Speaker was elected on the platform of All Progressives Grand Alliance and defected to Peoples Democratic Party three days ago to enable him to emerge the Speaker.
