Allowing Fulani Herdsmen Form Own Militias In S’East Would Be Igbo’s Biggest Mistake – FFK Warns

Femi Fani-Kayode, former Minister of Aviation and Chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, has warned Ndigbo never to allow a Fulani vigilante in their region.
Fani-Kayode was reacting to a recent call made by Miyetti Allah Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria for the establishment of a Fulani vigilante in the South East.
The outspoken PDP Chieftain opined that every Fulani herdsman in the South should be disarmed and expelled.
He also said instead of the Fulani cattle rearers to ask for their own armed militia, they should rather ask for a one way ticket back to the North.
He wrote:
“The biggest mistake the Igbo can make is to allow Fulani herdsmen to form their own militias and armed groups anywhere in the east.
“This is not about politics: it is about survival. It is like allowing vicious and hungry wolves into the lamb pen. The result is predictable.
“Now you know why IPOB was proscribed and why they are equally terrified of OPC and YOLICOM.
“Every single Fulani terrorist herdsman in the south should be disarmed and expelled. Instead of asking for their own armed militia they should be asking for a oneway ticket back to Arewa.”
