Fulani Herdsmen: Shehu Sani Condemns Buhari Govt’s Plan To Create Ruga Settlements In States
Shehu Sani, former Kaduna Central Senator, has faulted the Federal Government’s proposed establishment of Ruga settlements for herdsmen in some states of the federation.
He said establishing the settlement without ensuring a comprehensive inter-communal peace will lead to disaster.
Buhari government had disclosed that it was working towards establishing Ruga settlements for herdsmen in 12 pilot states nationwide.
Mohammadu Umar, the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, made this known in Abuja on Tuesday.
He said that the farm settlements, when fully established, would address incessant clashes between Fulani cattle rearers and farmers.
Reacting, Sani tweeted: “Establishing a ‘Rugan Fulani’ settlement in some states where spears and swords are flying over heads and without facilitating a comprehensive inter communal peace plan and MOU, will be a recipe for disaster.The architects of the idea are viewing the problem from their tinted windows.”

The idiot called Buhari want to end Nigeria , but it is just four years more and all that he created will die with him, the man Buhari is a fool forever, and he will die shamefully, I read that he is no 7 powerful Islamic man on this planet earth and he want to enroll Nigeria as Islamic country, but it will not work.
I am an Igbo man and we are going back to our humble and noble country very soon.
He can create ‘Rugan Fulani’ settlement, but let him know that he is not the first Fulani man to be the president of Nigeria and he will not be the last person, but let him be careful and hear the voice of those he is ruling, if not Allah , God will question his soul at the end of the day, life did not end here.
