Presidential Election Tribunal: Atiku, PDP To Play Videos Showing Alleged Rigging By APC

Atiku

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, will on Friday, July 12, play videos of the February 23 presidential election before the Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal.

According to a senior counsel in Atiku’s team, the videos will show how the All Progressives Congress (APC) allegedly rigged the election, Daily Trust reports.

Atiku and the PDP are expected to present their star witnesses, as they conclude their case on the petition challenging the election result next week.

Nine more local government collation agents were also called as witnesses by the petitioners.

The witnesses reportedly testified over alleged voter intimidation, harassment and cancellation of results.

It would be recalled that an agent of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) during the 2019 presidential election, Yahaya Shiko, alleged that the results of the elections were doctored in Kaduna to favour President Muhammadu Buhari.

Shiko served as the collation agent for PDP in Kaduna South local government area of Kaduna state.

The agent, at the tribunal on Thursday, July 11, said the results were doctored in his presence.
