IPOB: We Know Nothing About Operation Python Dance — S’East Govs
The South East Governors on Saturday denied any complicity in the Operation Python Dance, the Nigerian Army started in the South East zone that allegedly killed members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra at Afara-Ukwu, Umuahia, Abia State, home of the leader of the group, Nnamdi Kanu on September 2017.
The IPOB had vowed to attack the governors and Igbo leaders anywhere outside the country, citing their conspiracy with the Federal Government to killed their members during the Operation Python Dance by the Army.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting of the governors with some Igbo stakeholders that was attended by Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, the Chairman of South East Governors and Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi, explained that the governors never invited the military to the South East for the Operation Python Dance.
Umahi said, “South East governors never invited the Army nor were South East Governors informed of any of their operations on Python Dance until the operations were already started in the states. South East governors would like to write to Mr. President to request for a meeting with him and all the security chiefs on security to douse tension in the region.”

I am truly shocked by the words of these Eastern Governor intending to write to the president to request a meeting with him and the security chiefs. This is ridiculous thinking when the chief executives of the respective states are not willing to make official request that the military and police check points within their Eastern states be withdrawn immediately without meetings. The president except in the times of war of emergency cannot deploy the military in their states without their knowledge and approval. The actions of these Eastern Governors speaks very loud and a situation in conformity with a betrayal of your people. Otherwise, why will you be going to ask that you need a meeting. Every one of you as Governors of the South Eastern states must in the first place condemn the militarization and killings by the Military, Police in your state and seriously insist that it must never be allowed to happen again only then can you embark on hopeless speeches

While we may accept English attire, it is a shame that anyone from Biafra land will be wearing Hausa or Fulani attire. I suggest that anyone who puts on attire associated with Hausa or Fulani like Dave Umahi is not part of South East. Dave Umahi, Obiano and Okezie Ikpeazu must be stopped by all means
