BREAKING: Tribunal Delivers Final Judgment On Tambuwal’s Election

The Sokoto State Election Petition Tribunal sitting in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital, has affirmed the election of Governor Aminu Tambuwal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party.

The Tribunal delivered the final judgment on the Sokoto governorship election on Wednesday, October 2.

The Tribunal struck out the petition brought before it by Ahmed Aliyu and the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, challenging the declaration of Governor Tambuwal as the winner of the March 9 governorship election in the state by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
