Aisha Speaks Amidst President Buhari’s Wedding Rumours

Nigeria’s first lady, Aisha Buhari has joined the female gender to commemorate international day of the girl child, this is amidst the speculations that her husband, President Muhammadu Buhari is set to take another wife.

ORIENTAL TIMES reports that the social media is awash with rumours that President Buhari is getting married to another wife today, Friday, October 11, 2019.

The speculations on social media suggest Buhari is set to marry the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs Disaster Management Sadiya Farouq in a quiet ceremony in Aso Villa.

Ignoring the rumours, the first lady, in a tweet revealing the theme for this year’s celebration of the girl child, said she was happy to see that much progress have been made in the areas of activism.

She tweeted “Today, I join millions of girls around the world to celebrate this year’s international day of the girl child, the theme for this year is “GirlForce: Unscripted and Unstoppable”.

“I am happy to note the progress that has been made in the area of activism by girls to protect 1/2 their gender.”

“I want to state that more needs to be done especially to address gender based violence which seems to be more pronounced recently. All hands must be on deck to achieve this” she added
